The Mermaid Hotel and Club is nestled within tranquil gardens and coconut groves along a stretch of golden sand beach. The Mermaid Hotel overlooks a beautiful stretch of beach, you’ll think you’ve landed in paradise with so much to see and do on your doorstep. The Mermaid Hotel is elegantly designed and it is a haven for rest and relaxation whilst down at the club, there’s plenty of action! A wide range of sports and recreational activities include squash, badminton and, of course, an impressive range of watery pursuits. There’s also not one but two swimming pools to splash about in, a fitness centre for the body conscious and a spa with sauna, steam rooms and Jacuzzi.
Mermaid Hotel and Club is the sister property of the more up-market Saman Villas located further along the coast. Mermaid Hotel reopened in September 2011 following a refurbishment of their rooms. The hotel is close to the colourful resort of Kalutara which offers a blend of culture and relaxation.
The Mermaid Hotel’s main restaurant partially overlooks the ocean and has an al-fresco section for making the most of sunny days and warm evenings. Enjoy a romantic candle-lit dinner for two or tuck into the hearty buffet, with a sublime selection of sea food available daily. The Mermaid Hotel is on the beach at Mahawaskaduwa, a cosy fishing village in Kalutara, west coast of Sri Lanka. Transfer time from the airport to the Mermaid Hotel is approx. 2 hours and 30 minutes. Mermaid Hotel is located just 45 minutes away from the capital city Colombo, this is an ideal first or last stop on a holiday in Sri Lanka. Kalutara is just one hour away from Bentota where there are plenty of water sports on offer.

The traditional Sri Lankan Wedding is performed on a decorated canopied dais (Poruwa). The bride and bridegroom are dressed in ceremonial Sri Lankan costumes. Jayamangala stanzas of blessings are sung by young girls. Dancers to the beating of drums make the ceremony colourful. Wedding package includes:
