Golden Star Beach Hotel - Introduction
The Golden Star Beach hotel in Negombo is a small cosy hotel facing beautiful golden sandy beach. It has a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The hotel is only a short stroll away to the town, bars and restaurants. The hotel itself is built in a U-shape around the pool and restaurant.
A calypso band plays during dinner and twice a month there is a live band, with dancing on the beach. But most of the time it's a quiet sort of place, and guests are left to relax, swim and sunbathe. In keeping with the quiet atmosphere the daytime entertainment is focused on gentle indoor games such as carom or darts. There are a couple of artists and craftsmen with woodcarvings, who display their work under the trees, and a jewellery shop is inside the hotel.
The hotel also has a conference/ballroom, which can be used for seminars or meetings and is often used for weddings.
