Here, four classic colonial bungalows, built for British tea estate managers in the days of the Raj, have been caringly restored by Dilmah Tea with the cooperation of Bogawantalawa Tea Estates. Castlereagh is one of the four bungalows. Castlereagh has an eclectic style. Castlereagh is situated opposite the shores of the Castlereagh lake.

Castlereagh has two types of suites: luxury rooms and garden suites all named after former planters in the estate. Rooms are sold on an all-inclusive basis, including breakfast, lunch, an afternoon cream tea, dinner (inclusive of wine), and soft and non-premium alcoholic drinks.
There are 5 rooms in total. The garden suites (Baker, Alston & Palmer) have a private verandah leading to the beautifully manicured gardens. The luxury rooms (Jamieson & Tate) are also lovely, just slightly smaller.
All rooms are beautifully furnished with a style of neo-colonial to classical English.
All room have a private en-suite bathroom either with a shower or a tropical flower bath.
