The expansive jungle estate is dotted with a collection of huts and tree houses each of which has been uniquely designed. Each abode blends the necessities of modern comfort with the great outdoors theme in mind, much of the huts construction is from natural timber materials and each of the abodes utilise the cool air of the region as a natural air conditioning system. Each abode is fitted with a modern bathroom with all the required necessities for the guest’s maximum comfort.
The huts have dining areas and many spaces which can be utilized for other activities such as yoga and meditation, great activities to try out while in these majestic natural surroundings. Running totally off the grid, the retreat follows a true back to nature path, the retreat has no electrical main connection and at night the area is lit with a shimmering collection of lanterns and candles.
Enjoy a truly natural meal at the retreat, as much of the fruit and vegetables used in the days cookery is produced onsite in the retreats own personal farms, guests can join in the harvesting or planting of the fields if they so desire.

The region of Puttalam has a diverse history and plays a major part in Sri Lanka’s culture and lore. Believed to be the area in which the first ancient Sri Lankan’s set foot on the island’s soil the region is dotted with many ancient sites which portray this great event. The region is largely untouched by modern development and tourism which makes it an ideal area for the new trending adventures of eco-tourism. The regions expansive land area plays host to a wide array of endemic fauna and flora. The iconic tanks which gather water for this dry zone region are nerve centres which attract much wildlife for its life giving water, these tanks were constructed by the ancient royals of Sri Lanka who designed them with the purpose of catching the yearly monsoon rains and store them for the dry period which is the longer spans of climate in the region. To the North West of the region lies the Kalpitiya peninsula a stretch of pristine beach which is a well known hot spot for whale and dolphin watching excursions.
